When the imagination
takes over,
life gets
better.
Mother is really
enjoying having a wheelchair now. Shopping is much easier, pop her in the
chair, give her the disabled trolley to push, (unfortunately the trolley will
not attach to the chair) and round we go. Brilliant (so you might think)
“Coming shopping today
mother”
“Yes and I have the
list ready” mother is eager so off we go, mother in the car, chair in the back
and yes, directions and driving instructions frequently issued. (MOTHER)
Round the supermarket
we went mother clutching the trolley me pushing and following orders. When out shot
the arm, emergency stop and mother nearly fell out the wheelchair.
“What did you put your
arm out for, one day you will get injured doing that” I am really annoyed with
her.
“Well you stopping so
suddenly was a bit silly I nearly fell out the chair and I wanted to look at
something on the shelf, that’s why I put my arm out” mother retorted.
“Please when you want
me to stop just say so, don’t put
your arm out” said in total exasperation.
With that the shopping
was done very quietly as mother was sulking. Honestly a child in a buggy is
less bother than mother.
Later that day I was
having a moan to one of my friends about mothers antics in the chair, their solution
was absolutely brilliant. Wire the seat cushion up to an electric current and
when she misbehaved, push a button and give her an electric shock.
Well I laughed
till I had cramp but it won’t happen as I could visualise her leaping up and
falling head first into the freezer legs waving in the air…… oh dear such fun.
Till next time
